This 5-day Etosha and Coast guided safari is for travelers who want to see wildlife and Namibia’s coast in a short time. The distances are long, but the experience is rewarding.
This tour can be arranged for a small group, solo travelers, or as a private trip.
Day 1: Windhoek to Etosha National Park
Your guide will meet you at your accommodation at 9:30 am to brief you about the safari. You will leave Windhoek at 10:00 am and drive to Etosha National Park, stopping for lunch along the way.
You will arrive in the late afternoon and begin spotting animals as you enter the park. After check-in, you will go on a game drive to nearby waterholes. You may see predators, zebras, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, and antelope.
In the evening, you will freshen up for dinner and relax while watching animals at the waterhole.
Day 2: Etosha National Park
Today will be a full day of game viewing in the central part of Etosha. The park gates open at sunrise, and after an early breakfast, you will set off on your morning drive.
Early mornings are a good time to see predators. You will have lunch on the way and continue your game drive while looking for wildlife. You will return to Okaukuejo Resort before sunset, which is also the best time to watch animals at the floodlit waterhole.
After freshening up, you will enjoy dinner and spend more time by the waterhole before resting for the night.
Day 3: Etosha National Park to Swakopmund
After breakfast, you will leave Etosha with your guide at 7:30 am and head toward the Skeleton Coast. You will pass through the town of Outjo, then travel through Damaraland before reaching the coast.
The Skeleton Coast is known for its quiet beaches and shipwrecks. You will stop for photos and have lunch on the way. In the late afternoon, you will arrive in Swakopmund, where you can explore the town on foot and enjoy the sea breeze.
You will freshen up before dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4: Swakopmund
In the morning, you will go to Walvis Bay for a half-day Sandwich Harbour tour with a local guide. Lunch will be served on the way.
After the tour, you will return to Swakopmund and spend the rest of the day at leisure. The town offers many optional activities at extra cost. Dinner will be at a local restaurant.
Day 5: Swakopmund to Windhoek
After breakfast, you will drive back to Windhoek. On the way, you will stop at the Okahandja Craft Market for souvenir shopping.
You will then be dropped off at your accommodation in Windhoek, where you will say goodbye to your guide.
