The Ongava Collection Etosha is a group of four well-run lodges located just outside the northern side of Etosha National Park, near Andersson’s Gate. The collection includes Ongava Lodge, Little Ongava, Ongava Tented Camp, and Anderssons at Ongava. Covering about 30,000 hectares of private game reserve, Ongava offers travellers a quality safari experience that combines close wildlife viewing with comfort.
Each lodge is built to match its surroundings. Ongava Lodge has spacious rock-and-thatch chalets overlooking a busy waterhole. Little Ongava offers private villa-style accommodation with plunge pools. Ongava Tented Camp is set under shady bushveld trees and gives the feel of a classic safari. Anderssons at Ongava has Mediterranean-style design and features an underground photographic hide beside its waterhole. Although the lodges are outside the park, wildlife moves freely between Ongava and Etosha, giving guests the chance to see animals before even entering the park.
Guests at any of the lodges enjoy personal service, friendly hospitality, and close encounters with wildlife in a private setting. Activities include daily guided game drives into both the private reserve and Etosha National Park, rhino tracking, photographic safaris, and birdwatching tours. Each property has quiet dining areas around a fire, raised viewing decks, and shared spaces that allow guests to meet while still having privacy.
Modern comforts such as swimming pools, Wi-Fi, and well-equipped rooms are available in all lodges. With fewer vehicles and smaller guest numbers, visitors enjoy a more relaxed and personal safari experience, making the Ongava Collection an excellent base for exploring Etosha and its surrounding wilderness.
