Mokuti Etosha Lodge Near Von Lindequist Gate

Mokuti Etosha Lodge is located just outside the eastern boundary of Etosha National Park, only about 2 kilometres from the Von Lindequist Gate. This makes it an excellent place for visitors who want modern comfort while staying close to the park for easy safari access. The lodge is surrounded by green gardens with many shaded trees, creating a cool and relaxing atmosphere. Rooms are spacious and air-conditioned, with options for couples, solo travellers, and families. Each room has an en-suite bathroom, a private patio, and views of the gardens, offering guests both comfort and privacy.

The lodge grounds have well-kept walking paths that lead to different areas, including a large swimming pool where guests can relax between game drives. There are several dining areas, a comfortable lounge, and a curio shop selling handmade items and souvenirs. The atmosphere is friendly and informal, with a casual bar and outdoor seating under large trees. In the evenings, guests can enjoy cultural cooking events or themed dinners, which add a special touch to their stay.

Because the lodge is so close to the park entrance, guests can choose between guided game drives or self-drive safaris. Guided drives are led by experienced drivers who often leave before sunrise to catch early morning wildlife activity. This is when many animals gather at waterholes, making it one of the best times for sightings.

Mokuti organizes daily trips to some of Etosha’s best wildlife areas, including Fischer’s Pan, Goas, and Chudop. These spots are well known for frequent sightings of elephants, giraffes, oryx, antelope, and many bird species. After an active day in the park, guests return to the peaceful lodge setting, where open verandas overlook the gardens. The soft lighting and fresh evening air create the perfect setting for shared meals around a communal table or quiet moments with family and friends.

In addition to its location near Etosha, Mokuti has its own small wildlife reserve and birding trails. Here, guests can see smaller bush animals, colourful birds, and antelopes without even entering the national park. This makes it a place where nature and comfort come together, offering guests a full safari experience from sunrise to sunset.
