Etosha National Park is not only a great place for wildlife viewing but also offers some of Namibia’s finest luxury safari lodges. These lodges give guests a mix of comfort, style, and close-to-nature experiences, making them a good choice for travellers who want both relaxation and adventure.
While the park’s rest camps mainly provide basic accommodation, there are several high-end lodges located on private reserves bordering Etosha. These lodges offer premium service, guided safaris, and easy access to the park for game drives. Staying here allows guests to enjoy privacy and high-quality facilities while still being close to the wildlife.
One of the most well-known lodges is Onguma The Fort, found on the eastern side of the park near Namutoni Gate. It is built with Moroccan-inspired design and features spacious suites with private plunge pools and wide views over Fisher’s Pan.
Nearby, Onguma Tented Camp and Onguma Tree Top Camp provide high-end stays with open decks, gourmet meals, and excellent opportunities for seeing animals from the comfort of the lodge.
On the southern side, near Andersson’s Gate, the Ongava Game Reserve is home to well-known luxury properties such as Little Ongava, Ongava Lodge, and Andersson’s at Ongava. In the west of the park, Dolomite Camp offers a more private experience. On the northern side of Etosha, near King Nehale Gate, King Nehale Lodge combines modern comfort with cultural touches, offering visitors a chance to explore a less-visited area of the park while enjoying a high standard of accommodation.
