Accommodation in Etosha National Park comes in different options, allowing visitors to stay inside one of Namibia’s most famous wildlife areas.
Okaukuejo Camp is one of the most well-known places to stay. It is famous for its floodlit waterhole where guests can watch animals such as rhinos, elephants, and lions both day and night. Accommodation ranges from luxury chalets close to the waterhole to budget rooms and campsites. Located near the southern gate, it is often the first stop for visitors entering the park.
Halali Camp is in the centre of the park and is another popular choice. It is quieter than Okaukuejo but still has good facilities, including comfortable bungalows, a swimming pool, a restaurant, and its own floodlit waterhole. Its central position makes it easy for guests to reach many game-viewing areas in all directions, which is useful during multi-day safaris.
Namutoni Camp is on the eastern side of the park and is built around a restored German fort, giving it a historic feel. It has suites, double rooms, and campsites, and is close to good waterholes such as Klein Namutoni and Chudop, which often attract a variety of animals.
Dolomite Camp is in the far western part of the park, in an area that was once restricted. It is set on a hill and has chalets with wide views of the open plains. The remote location means there are fewer vehicles, creating a quieter wildlife experience. This side of the park is also a good place to see rare animals such as black rhinos and Hartmann’s mountain zebras.
Onkoshi Camp is in a secluded spot on the edge of the salt pan. It is an eco-friendly, high-end lodge designed for guests who want privacy and quiet. With limited chalets and no busy roads nearby, it offers a peaceful stay combined with guided drives to the surrounding areas.
